Hi! I'm Michelle
LIU Nga Ting, Michelle graduated from Hong Kong Baptist University in Visual arts and currently studying in University of art London in PgCert design for visual communication. Her work includes graphic art, typography design, illustrations and Chinese art. She focuses on temporary design on graphic and typography so as to connect her works with the audience. She also focuses on a modern style of Chinese painting in order to convert the Chinese traditional style into a new language after studying Gongbi and Xieyi. LIU likes to emphasise structures and colors in her paintings and prints. She uses contrasting colors to show a sense of prominence. In an attempt to connect her paintings and prints with the audiences, she combines modernist ideas with traditional methods. Her paintings cannot be considered an authentic inheritance from the traditional way. Her works of art are contemporary representations. Although she works in a classical painting style, she enjoys transforming traditional art forms into contemporary forms. She also loves to use color to connect audience feelings and attract their sense of sight. |
